Food sourced through regenerative agriculture
What is regenerative agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that seeks to rehabilitate and enhance the entire ecosystem of the farm by placing a heavy premium on soil health by minimal soil disturbance. It also focuses on water management, fertilizer use, and support biosequestration. It is a method of farming that “improves the resources it uses, rather than destroying or depleting them,” according to the Rodale Institute.
In Punla Heirloom Farms, we uphold the principles of regenerative agriculture. We build our own compost from the community’s household organic wastes. With our proximity to poultry farms and sugar cane plantations, we are able to utilize the dried manure of chickens as fertilizer to our crops and sugar cane trash to add soil fertility.
We blend sustainable innovation with tradition. Respecting the natural farming in harmony with nature - between people, lands, waterbodies, livestock, and even microbial life in soil.
Our Vision
To be the most sustainable organic farm in the Philippines by 2030
Our Mission
We aim success that goes beyond yield and farm size. We target to multiply the regenerative agriculture to different farm locations in the Philippines by decentralize farming and respect the natural growth of crops. By bringing it closer to the communities, we can reduce transport emissions and place fresher food to Filipino plates.
